The challenge
A club with changing themed evenings needs a calendar that is always right, and a way to receive bookings per evening without an evening getting overbooked. The club also wants to change texts, prices and photos itself, and a guestbook where nothing appears that has not been looked at first.
Case
The solution
- Calendar with online booking. Every evening has its own page and a maximum number of places. A visitor books through the site and receives an email with a code; the club confirms or cancels, and the visitor is told so in their own language.
- No overbooking. A request that exceeds the maximum of the evening is refused, and this is checked again on confirmation.
- Moderated guestbook. Messages and replies are only visible after approval, and the club can reply as a team.
- Managing the content themselves. Pages are built from blocks with an editor and photo galleries. The club also manages the blog, the events, the logo and the social media links itself.
- Dutch and English, with a language switcher.
- Findable. Structured data for the club and every event, a sitemap and tidy meta information per page.
Project
Project Overview
Club Luxoria is a swingers club in Wagenborgen, in the province of Groningen. I designed and built the website, and maintain it: a site where visitors look at the calendar and book an evening online, and whose content the club manages entirely by itself.
In 2026 the site was redesigned and rebuilt, in Dutch and English.
